The Pan American Games have the capacity to transform a nation. In Peru we have seen what sport and sports events have done for our country since the South American Games in 1990. The Pan American and Olympic Movement has helped fill a void in our society exchanging hardship with hope and with the Pan American Games we will be able to continue that transformation over the next decades.

Peru has never been given the opportunity to host the Games. Bringing the 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games to Peru for the very first time is the chance for PASO to expand its reach in new markets, maximising the opportunities that exist in Latin America’s most dynamic economy. With Peru’s secure and fast-growing economy, not to mention the stable political situation, the PASO family is guaranteed to benefit from expanded commercial opportunities both in-terms of new markets for the development of sport but also in-terms of new sponsorship opportunities in a booming economy.

Now is the right time for Peru and the right time for PASO. Lima 2019 is dedicated to making a positive impact for the Pan American / Parapan American Games and with the unanimous support of Peru’s government; PASO will have the opportunity to build a stronger brand throughout the Americas.
